Sydney Scamihorn is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who specializes in early intervention. She earned her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Eastern Illinois University in 2018. She completed her 9-month Clinical Fellowship working with children from birth to age three.
With over four years of full-time experience in early intervention, Sydney has worked extensively with toddlers presenting with a range of communication needs, including Late Language Emergence, Mixed Receptive-Expressive Language Disorders, Suspected Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Down Syndrome. She is deeply committed to empowering families by partnering closely with parents and caregivers to support their child’s communication development in their natural environment. Sydney considers it a privilege to be invited into a family’s daily life to help their child connect and communicate more effectively.
Outside of her professional work, Sydney enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dog, working out, reading, doing puzzles, and traveling.
