Katrina Smith, MS, OTR/L

Katrina Smith earned a Bachelors Degree in Speech & Hearing Sciences from Purdue University and an Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. After honing her skills in long-term care, the schools, and part-time work at First Steps, Katrina decided to dedicate her attention full time to First Steps.  She joined Pediatric Specialty Associates back in 2003, and absolutely loves working with the little ones and their families.  She’s fascinated by the incredible changes a child goes through from birth to three years old and tailors her sessions to meet their unique needs, as well as the needs of their family.  These little ones amaze her and she feels she learns something new from them every single day!  Over the years, Katrina has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of children with developmental delays, prematurity, and children who just need a little extra support. She’s attended numerous seminars on motor development, prematurity, sensorimotor, visual motor, feeding, and more.

In her spare time, you can find Katrina enjoying life at home with her two adorable dogs, Max and Patches and loves to catch up with friends and family. She also enjoys reading, watching movies and shows, listening to music, working out, and when she has extra time, researching her family history.
