Courtney Holland, SLP-CCC

Courtney attended Ball State University, where she earned a B.S. in Speech Pathology & Audiology in 2014, and an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2016. She began her career at a hospital treating adult and geriatric patients in the inpatient and acute rehab settings, followed by a brief tenure at a skilled nursing facility. From there she knew that she wanted to return to her original passion — working with kids. She transitioned to pediatrics in 2020 when she started a position at an outpatient clinic. She began her journey with First Steps when she joined PSA’s team in June of 2022. One of Courtney’s favorite parts of her job is building connections with families and their toddlers. She loves engaging in child-led play-based therapy while using a neurodiversity-affirming approach. It is her goal to help find the mode of communication that is best-suited for each child. She also values the importance of encouraging families to target emotional regulation, including using co-regulation strategies to help their little ones feel safe and calm. In her free time Courtney loves going to concerts, taking road trips, doing word puzzles, and hanging out with her friends, family, and high school sweetheart, Ty.
