Carrie graduated from Purdue University (Boiler Up!) in 2022 with bachelor’s degrees in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and Spanish. She then continued her educational journey at Purdue, earning a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2024. Following graduation, Carrie completed her clinical fellowship at Children’s Therapy Connection in Indianapolis, gaining valuable experience in both the outpatient and early intervention settings. Through this experience, Carrie discovered her love for the First Steps program and was thrilled to join the PSA team in 2025 to specialize in supporting early language learners and their families.
Carrie is passionate about supporting multilingual children, connecting with toddlers through play, and coaching and encouraging caregivers. She has experience working with toddlers with a range of communication needs, including expressive and receptive language disorders, suspected childhood apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorder, and hearing impairment. It is a joy to play a role in building little ones’ early communication skills!
When not stacking blocks/ blowing bubbles/ singing songs within intervention, Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband and sisters, trying new restaurants in the Indy area, and staying active by walking, biking, and taking group fitness classes.
