Amy Riego, SLP-CCC

Amy Riego has been serving the children of Indiana since earning her Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Purdue University in 2000. She spent a majority of her career treating children ages 0-18 in a hospital and outpatient setting, but decided to focus on early intervention by joining PSA in 2022. This decision has been a game changer for it has afforded her the opportunity to work with children and their families in their most natural environment, home! Her areas of specialty include treatment of speech and language disorders including apraxia of speech and stuttering, social pragmatic language disorders associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and pediatric dysphagia. Amy has experienced therapy from both sides, for she is the parent of two children who required a push in their early years of development. This has allowed her to become more functional with her care and has made her a stronger professional. Outside of therapy, Amy enjoys participating in any form of exercise. She loves to travel near and far and wishes that she could cook as well as she can eat. Her favorite thing in the world is watching her children grow up and experience life. You will find her on the cross country courses in the Fall and in the stands at track meets in the Spring and, of course, she is cheering.
