Amber Yarbrough is originally from Brookville, Indiana. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree, She worked a year as an exercise physiologist in cardiac rehab in Florida. Amber then went on to get her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy at IUPUI in 2009. Amber has worked in hospitals and outpatient settings. Her passion became early intervention when she saw how impactful services were for her neice and nephew who received First Steps.
She has been with First Steps with the PSA team for 9 years now and always works to meet the family and child where they are at. Amber loves the family centered approach and enjoys collaborating with families. Amber works with a variety of conditions and diagnosis including but not limited to; down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, feeding difficulties, prematurity, neonatal abstinence syndrome, global developmental delay, genetic disorders, sensory processing difficulties.
Amber lives with her husband Eric, and her 2 children and puppy Luna. She loves outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with family and friends!
